What is a Will?A will is a written document that specifies how you want your assets (i.e. real property, personal property, money, car, etc.) divided and distributed to your loved ones and/or a charity in the event of your death. It also spells out how dependents should be provided for and allows you to give your choice of guardians for your children. A will becomes irrevocable when you die. Keep in mind that a will is just part of the estate planning process. Whether your estate is large or small, you probably need an estate plan.
